MARGINALLY CONTROLLED CHAOS.. 05/25

Yep… Marginally controlled chaos.. that’s what this weekend is building itself to be… If you are looking for a quiet place to fish this weekend.. stay up north…  or find coves on the east side.. just be aware of everyone else.. cause’ they are probably not aware of you…

We love these weekends… cause’ the cash register sounds like “stairway to heaven” all day long..

With that said…

The fishing has really turned on in the last few days..  Walleye have finally showed up…

White bass very productive in McRae and around Rattlesnake Island , live shad is king if you can find them,  with live shiners right behind.     Kastmasters  and slabs very good when locating schools of whites.  Also Panther Martin end line spinners for trolling..

Walleyes being caught on crank baits and wally divers , chartreuse and  white, also  bandits chrome with blue back. Justin Orr caught good Walleye this afternoon on Chartreuse/Purple crank baits… yea.. purple?  Walleye are still along South Long Point, strongest in the areas that transition into rocky banks..  Also anywhere that has some cliffs or steep rock ledges..

Blue channel cats are very good on live or frozen shad,  cut bait also good.  Mostly up North…

Water temp is 66 degree in A.M. clarity improving in mid lake.

Be careful this weekend, there will be LOTS of folks here ..  Most have not been to the lake yet this year.. so many will leave their brains at home..  BE SAFE.

Planning on building the “over the top” cinnamon rolls for Saturday morning… come getch’ya one  .. they’ll ruin ya…

Tell mama that the honey-do list is not long enough to take serious…

Come see us..
