Elephant Butte Lake Fishing Report

Saturday March 4, 2017

STILL SLOW BUT BETTER THAN LAST WEEK !! 03/03/17

Folks are findin’ Whites in the backs of coves.. Still running 15 – 20 feet,

Hitting on live bait, silver or chartreuse crank baits..  They are not very dependable but they are there…

No reports on any Walleye yet..

Black Bass are deep, hanging in rocks along the main lake points.. you are gonna’ have to work for em..

Catfish are good, with nice 10 pound fish showing up regularly… live bait and cut bait.. drift fishin’, jug fishin, or tight lining..

We have seen a few large Stripers.  One at 31 pounds… caught on live bait.. (from Butte Marine of course)…

Most of the Stripers were caught deeper in coves by guys fishing for Whites…

Pay the neighbor kid to do the honey-do list….  come see us..
