The welcome rain has passed.. looks like a really nice weekend..
The water temps are 56-57 in the mornings & 60-ish in the afternoons.
Water is murky up north down to Kettletop, clearing south of Kettletop and Rock Canyon.. getting better as you go south.
The Black Bluffs are producing good White Bass (contrary to last weeks report) and around Kettletop to South Long Point. McRae is very good and the Damsite has come alive with White Bass.
White, chartreuse & chrome crank baits & spinners at about 8 – 10 feet seem to be the ticket.. Deep divers, small slabs and end line spinners are also doing well… Pretty much your preference.. anything that flashes, flops or acts like an injured bait fish will get it done.. especially live bait..
Crappie are hitting on Fathead minnows (we got em’) at Kettletop, Castle rock, Rock Canyon & McRae.
Some Walleye have been caught in the same areas on jigs & lipless crankbaits.. Walleye are hitting good in the river on jigs, and worms..
Black Bass & Smallmouth are hitting mid lake areas on small plastic jigs and crank baits around points and shallow areas with large structure..
Catfish still doing well up north and around Long Point.. 10 – 20 feet around trees and rocks.. Seco Canyon at Caballo has been producing some impressive catches..
It is only Wednesday.. get that honey-doo list done by Friday & come see us..
