Fishin’ is good… no kiddin’…

The fishin’ continues to improve with the water clarity.  The Whites have been very dependable trolling white, chrome & blue, or chartreuse crank baits.. Ol’ Doug Long came up from El Paso last week and caught some really nice big Whites… He was trolling with chrome/blue,  chrome/ black crankbaits.

Frank Vilorio has been catchin’ whites on live shad.. so if you can throw a cast net, go get em..Live shiners have been dependable also..

Have not heard any reports about night fishin’,  or bank fishin’ , probably too damn cold…

Black Bass & Smallmouth have been good along rocky structure and main lake points.  Soft tube baits and plastics are dependable.. Last week Dean Leavengood caught some nice Black Bass and one large catfish while fishin’ for Blacks..

Catfishin’ has been outstanding just about everywhere.   Seems to be best on the North East side.  Cut baits and live Bluegills..

Tell mama that it’s too cold for the honey-do list..

come see us…

We are thinkin’ about ya Ron…

“life’s problems are like throwin’ cattle… dig yur’ heels in on the big’uns… catch the little one’s round the neck”…

Dean Leavengood caught this beauty on a Green Pumkin tube & a 2/0 hook …. go figure!

The guys from Ducks Unlimited hunted with Frank Vilorio last week, he put them on good birds.  That’s good exposure for the lake…
