Elephant Butte Lake Fishing Report

Friday November 10, 2017

I’m BACK.. Fishin is not all that bad.. 11/10/17

The lake has been coming up nicely…  about 15.4% this morning.. over twice as much as last year at this time..  The fishin’ has been poor due to the extremely low viability.   It has been just flat MUDDY..

in the last week we have seen Frank and few locals start finding good catches of white bass.

Last week was very productive for white bass using white 1/2 oz. slabs in 15 to 25 ft of water,  Look for schools of shad on fish finder,  Look carefully and under the school of shad you will possible Mark fish, target humps and drop offs,  ledges. Water temperature 65 degree, water murky.  Now you have to do a little work, but that’s kinda fun…

Catfish have gotten pretty active also..

Flatheads are still active in shallow water using live bluegill or fresh cut shad.

Catching 20+ pound cats on cut bait in 20+ foot of water. Blue Cats are excellent right now also..

The weather has been very nice.. the lake is not busy.. so..

Grab yur’ Sweetie and go fishin’

Come see us..

Nice Catch Byron.. (Set the Hook Catfishing)
