FISHIN’ REPORT – WEEK OF 04/19/2023

Water temperature in the AM 58 degrees and into the low 60s by mid afternoon…. and the bite is ON.

Crappie fishing has picked up, very good on live shiners ,small jigs and kastmasters in 20 to 12 feet of water. Fish around Rock canyon, castle rock and in back of McRae Canyon are good stops.

White bass have picked up around black bluffs trolling swim baits ,sassy shad and medium diving crankbaits. lots of local soaking shiners in the evenings also..

Large mouth bass have started to come into shallow points good on plastic worms, jigs.

Some Walleyes being caught of long point trolling Walley Divers tipped with night crawlers, twin tail grubs tipped with a night crawler on 5 to 9 feet of water.. Not quite bottom bouncing, but close..

Over all the best seems to be early mornings till around 9am – 9:30am..

The winds have been whippin’ up in the afternoons.. then layin’ down after 6 or so.. that’s ok cause the fish aren’t biting very good in the heat of the day..

Stephanie will be selling the Casa Taco Burritos on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.. come getcha’ one.. when there gone… there gone..

round up the kids,

come see us..
