FISHIN REPORT …. WEEK OF 05/01/2023

Folks are finally catching fish dependably …

The patterns are changing a little every day as the fish try to figure out the changing habitat..

Water temperature 64-65 in the AM.

Whitebass fishing is good using, slabs, crankbaits, swimbaits and Alabama rigs around Lions beach, rattle snake island and around Rock canyon.

Largemouth bass good casting at the bank using soft plastics around McRae Canyon, Castle rock, the Jungles and Ash canyon.

Some crappies being caught around kettle top, flying eagle and lost canyon using small minnows and small crappie jigs.

Fair for walleyes using jig head with a night crawler in the river, chartreuse curly tail jigs also productive casting with slow troll.

Good for catfish using cut carp and cut shad around main channels and deep coves.

The gulls are still circling the schools but not diving on them.. not sure what’s goin on there but if you see the birds, get under em…
