FISHIN’ REPORT WEEK OF 05/29/2024

Well, we made it through the Memorial Day weekend… and yeah, it was busy..

The fishin’ stayed active this week and should be good this weekend..

Whitebass fishing very good using slabs, kastmasters and spoon type lures jigging off the bottom on ledges and drop offs, trolling crankbaits is productive in 20 feet of water off point leading to deep water.

Crappie fishing is good in back of coves in 20 to 15 feet of water using live bait or jigging Crappie jigs over bushes, some being caught using crank baits in back of coves.

Large mouth and small mouth bass good on small minnows and plastic worms in 5 to 12 feet of water target bushes and large boulders.

Some Walleyes being caught trolling chartreuse swimbait in 6 to 10 feet of water targeting long gravel points and bouncin’ em’ off the bottom slowly..

No Catfish reports this week, but it should still be very good up North using cut bait or Bluegills..

I had a MAJOR fish kill last week and lost an entire load of shiners.. So as a lot of ya’ll know, We ran out of live bait on Saturday evening.. sorry bout’ that.. I will be restocked on Friday afternoon with another large load.. so we should be in good shape through next week..

This should be a good weekend, the weather looks ok.. but we still are getting some pretty windy afternoons.. so be aware and get in if it gets bad..

Burritos on Fri, Sat & Sunday mornings..

Load up Mama and the kids..
