FISHIN’ REPORT WEEK OF 06/07/23

Water temps still hovering in the low 70s at mid day..

Fishing for crappies was fair using live minnows tipped on a jig head in coves 15 to 20 feet around McRae canyon, Rock Canyon, Castle Rock and Ash Canyon, look for bushes submerged in 20 feet slow trolling live minnows.

Fishing for White Bass was fair using live minnows, trolling crankbaits, curly tail jigs and kastmasters around Black Bluffs ,around Kettletop and North Long Point.

Fishing for walleye was fair using crankbaits, twin tail grubs and worms around North of Black Bluffs and the east Bank running down to Kettle Top.

Several folks caught nice Stripers in front of the dam this afternoon, trolling in the channel with swimbaits..

Fishing for catfish good using cut shad and worms.

Seems like live bait has been the best bet lately, with the lake rising as fast as it is, the fishin is challenging.. but you ain’t gonna catch em’ if your not out there..

Night fishin’ is still good under lights..
