FISHIN’ REPORT – WEEK OF 06/10

well the lake is starting to drain… not bad right now. You still have plenty of fishin’ and room to play.. We are still not going to get too ugly untill the end of August or into September.. So round up momma and the kids and get to the lake !!

White bass have picked up , boils are starting to get more frequent in the morning around south long point, rock canyon, jet boat cove and McRae canyon. Good lures are kastmasters, sassy shad and swim baits and slabs, top water plugs in Chrome and white are good colors.

Crappies biting better at night with small live Fathead minnows under lights. Setup around good structure.

Walleye bite is very good on long gravel points from from 3 to 9 feet of water ,crank baits, curly tail jigs, bottom bouncers with worm spinner harness .

A nice 42.6 pound trophy size Striper was caught Sunday by Elizabeth Kotoski from Colorado using slabs off the bottom. So, see there are still some monsters left roamin’ around.

Black Bass and Smallmouth have been dependable off of main and secondary points. I have heard of good size Bass caught on most all plastics and creature baits. So use your confidence bait and change from there.

We saw some very nice 5 – 10 lb catfish come through this week.. Mostly cut bait and live Bluegills fishin’ at night and early mornings up North on the East side as well as the rocks off the end of Long Point..

No reports from the Damsite area this week..

Pawn momma’s to-do list off on the neighbor kid (or better yet, drag him along)

Come see us…
