FISHIN’ REPORT….. WEEK OF 06/16

Walleye fishing continues to be very good from 4 to 9 ft. of water, gravel points will produce fish. Curly tail jigs, split tail jigs , crankbaits and bottom bouncers with worm harnesses still good. Preference colors are chartreuse and white.

White bass fishing good, hatch for feeding schools chasing shad towards bank. Sassy shad, kastmasters and crankbaits are good choices, slabs are also productive in deeper water on points leading towards deeper water.

Catfish are good all over using cut shad and stink bait.

Crappie are biting good at night at marinas using Fathead minnow, small kastmasters and little jigs over lights.

As you already know, it’s “hotter’n woopie in woolens” out there.. so fish early and get off the lake. don’t be afraid to jump in and cool off. Just be carful and don’t be a statistic.

tell mama that it’s just to hot for a 2-do list….

come see us.
