FISHIN’ REPORT – WEEK OF 07/13

The fishing is good… not great, but good..
The lake is dropping pretty quick and the fish are constantly having to find new shelter.. so they are confused and a little slow to bite..

White bass are good around the flats of McRae, South long point, Lions beach and rattle snake island. Good lures are small swimbaits, chrome kastmasters and crankbaits
Sea gulls are starting to work, indicating top water feeding activities, watch for birds. .
Crappie fishing very good at night under lights with small Fathead minnows and small jigs down to 30 feet of water, day time Crappie also good on points and around boulders and cover from 8 to 15 feet small jigs, small minnows and slabs work well.

Walleye fishing good off gravel points and ledges in 9 to 15 feet using worms and slabs.

no good reports on Catfish or Blacks & Smallmouths this week.. but they are out there..

thanks to Frank Viloria of Land of Enchantment Adventures for the fishing report…

The visitation seems to be slowing a bit.. so you may have an easier time finding good fishin’ ..
