FISHIN’ REPORT WEEK OF 07/20

it’s “hotter’n woopie in woolens” out there… so if your gonna go fishin’, plan for it…

This weeks report posted with the help of Frank Vilorio from “Land of Enchantment Adventures”

White bass fishing continues to be very good early morning and late afternoon. Schools are bringing up shad in the channel around Lyon’s Beach and Rattle Snake Island.
Watch for boils indicating feeding schools, Small whopper-ploppers in white are working good ,Zara Spooks, small swim baits and crankbaits are also producing. Slabs are also working off the bottom on ridges and drop offs.

Crappies are being caught off points and around boulders and brush 8 to 15 feet, Live Fathead minnows working very good.

Night fishing still very good for whitebass and crappies under lights. Live shiners and Fatheads are the ticket.. (we have plenty for ya’)

Walleyes still being caught off points in 15 to 25 feet , slabs, deep diving crankbaits working good. Deep gravel bottoms are holding some Walleyes.

The heat has slowed the mid day bite, If your out there in the middle of the day, you probably need to be IN the lake…

The massive crowds have gone home, so the weekends are pretty nice if your trying to avoid other folks..

We had a few folks weigh in some nice Small Mouth bass, but the $10,000 bounty for the state record fish is still up for grabs..

Don’t forget that Stephanie will have the Casa Taco “Gut Grenade Burritos” on Friday, Saturday & Sunday mornings.. come getcha’ one..

come see us..
