FISHIN’ REPORT… WEEK OF 07/21

Well we didn’t know what the storms last weekend were gonna do to the fishin’… but It sure didn’t hurt… the fishin picked up this week..

White bass very good from south of Castle rock to rattle snake.
Watch for seagulls diving down on feeding schools of white bass.
White bass schools seem to be more active early morning then again late morning, cast small swim baits, kastmasters and crankbaits at feeding schools in deep water.
Work points with slabs or jigs on points when bird activity gets slow.

Frank Vilorio treated his customers to limits of nice White Bass and Walleye in last two days…

Crappie fishing very good on points around jet boat cove in 15 feet of water with small Crappie jigs or small fathead minnows.

Walleye fishing good off gravel points 8′ of water using crank baits and jigs.

Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on points leading to main channel and over deep humps.

I only had one report of night fishin this week and it was very good.. Under the lights on the North side of Rattlesnake island. Live shiners is the ticket on the night fishing.
if you are going night fishin, be sure to be safe and know where you are going. Scout out a good spot to tie up or anchor around structure, rocks, trees or something..

its better to sit in a boat thinkin about God, than sittin’ in Church thinkin about fishin……

The weather looks pretty good for this weekend… maybe a few heat showers in the evenings.. So get mamma’s Honey-do list done and…

Come see us..
