FISHIN REPORT WEEK OF 08/24/2023

Finally a report worth sending…
The fish started biting better this week.. then a storm moved through and squashed it for a few days… but Frank Vilorio put his customers on a nice catch of Whites yesterday and today..

White Bass fishing good in the upper part of lake using live Shiners, slabs, sassy shad and top water lures.
Watch for seagulls diving over feeding schools of white bass.
Watch for boils in back of coves early to mid morning.
Feeding schools moving fast from shallow to deep water.

The shad have finally moved up into the shallows and are being chased to the backs of coves.. Local fishermen are reporting seagulls chasing the shad in the coves.. so watch for the gulls and go get under em’…

Some Walleye caught along long shallow gravel banks, bouncing Walley divers and crankbaits on the bottom in 8 – 10 feet of water..

Black bass have been found along structure along the points and sides of coves.. Soft plastics and creature baits seem to be good.. use your confidence baits.. bushes and trees that are standing in 5 – 8 feet of water are providing cover..

No reports on catfish, but some have come by the scale.. Cut bait and Bluegill are always a good bet..

Still catching Stripers in the predawn hours in front of the dam.

Have no reports this week on night fishing.. but you can bet that It’s productive..

Jerk the kids outa school and take em’ fishin.. your gonna teach em more about what they need to know anyway.. just sayin..

Stephanie will have burritos on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.. come getcha’ one.. it’s ruin ya..

Come see us..
