White Bass are still good on top water.. actually they are tearing up top water lures.. I have had more than a few folks braggin’ about the top water bite…
best times are early morning through mid morning.. then again in the last few hours of daylight.. but the early mornings are best..
over sandy gravel banks and beaches on the east side seem to be best lately..

Some black bass and smallmouth are being caught on the top water bite with the whites..

then the good ol’ trollin’ with chartreuse and white crankbaits as well as jiggin with Kastmasters over deeper water is producing nice fish also..
Some of the locals are drifting with live shiners down to about 20′ and doing well..
Watch for the birds as well as the fish boiling the water in schools..

Several Bass fishermen have caught good fish off of main lake and secondary points using plastics and creature baits. Use your confidence bait for this..

Several nice catfish were brought in with live bluegill and cut baits. Mainly from the east side up north.

The dam is still closed but the inflow is slow so the lake is rising but not fast. Forecast is good for this winter and next spring though.
